 World Pipe Band Championships 2012 *Updated*The World Pipe Band Championships will return to its heartland, in Glasgow Green on 11th August 2012. Expect exciting competition across all Grades, Pearl will be present at the Green with a large marquee in which you can find our products, merchandise and the Pearl world class drum majors, like Jim Kilpatrick, Eric Ward and Drew Duthart.We like to invite you to come to our stand at the World’s on 11 August 2012 ! Update: The largest day in the pipe band calendar is of course the World Pipe Band Championships. Saturday 11th August 2012, Glasgow Green - 70 Drum Majors, 235 bands comprising of 8000 pipers and drummers from across all across the World competed for the title of World Champions in their respective Grades. After the recent poor Scottish summer and the cancellation of several competitions, Glasgow was bathed in sunshine for the entire Worlds week and this brought the crowds out in force to Glasgow Green. We at Pearl Drums and Percussion would like to thank all of our artists and bands that performed at this years World Pipeband Championship on Glasgow Green on August 11th 2012. Pearl was represented with a big marquee, clearly marked with Pearl, and located on the main green. The products that we displayed were our snare (side) drums, together with bass drums, tenor drums in various sizes and our light weight carriers. We brought a wide variety of merchandise as well. To entertain the public this year we managed with the great help of Jim Kilpatrick and his drum corps of House of Edgar shots and Dykehead Pipe Band to hold some fanfare performances right outside our Marquee, at 12, 2 and 4pm. We would like to congratulate the following Pearl Artist and bands for their hard work and dedication shown at this great event.
